'Valeria's enthusiasm and motivation is contagious !'

Valeria Sesto was a competitive swimmer as a young child who turned into a competitive sailor during her teens and early 20s. At 28, she joined a crew in a round the world yacht race and settled in the South of England. She soon met her husband Clive with whom she has two children. At the time she joined a local triathlon club because its good swimming sessions and she was soon hooked with it, although she didn't have a bike. Her potential talent as a runner was soon clear to others, after she completed a local half-marathon 'for fun' and only 2 seconds away of an elite qualifying time for the London Marathon, which she achieved soon after. She very quickly became an elite distance runner, was competing for her county and her country at very high level. She ran for Argentina and for England and was part of the GB team too. She became the English National Champion in ultra-distance and, to date, holds the 50k and 100k National records in her birth country. She also won twice on a row the prestigious 100k Elite International Championships in China.
After a break during the pandemic, when she thought she would retire from competitive racing, she had a go at an Ironman with a group of local friends. She did it in an old, unsuitable bike and came second, only one slot away from qualification for Kona. A few months later, and two more ironman under her belt, Valeria finally won the slot and within a year she was taking part in the World Championships in Hawaii, where she came 7th.
Valeria has a true passion for sport which she loves sharing with those around her, friends, family, those she mentors and coaches as well as a wider audience through social media, writing and speaking. Valeria's enthusiasm and motivation is contagious !
