From a friendly bubbly river-side town in the outskirts of Buenos Aires, Argentina, to a like-wise town in the South of England, after sailing round the world, meeting her future husband while working on a sailing yacht in the pacific; settling in the UK, becoming a mother of two and discovering a passion for running and endurance sport, which led her to the highest ranks an amateur busy mum could aspire to, winning World titles and settling national records. This all alongside supporting her husband who became a round the world skipper and encouraging her own children to follow their dreams. One of them becoming one of Britains most decorated junior and youth sailor and the other one following her own path whilst working on super-yachts. Valeria has also become a dedicated coach and tireless contributor to the local community and still, now in her early 50s, competes internationally at top level: 'loving the journey and sharing it with others'
